Fine Needle Aspiration

Specimen Requirements

  • Submit both fixed and air-dried smears

  • Submit aspirate in cytolyt

  • If Flow Cytometry is required, submit a portion of the aspirate in RPMI.

  • Room temperature is acceptable.



Turn Around Time *

  • Approximately 12-24 Hours.
