On February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare experienced a cyber security attack. Change Healthcare (Optum) is owned by United Health Group. This was one of the largest cyber attacks on the healthcare system in history. United Health Group has not determined the extent to which PHI was impacted. Therefore, they are offering free credit monitoring and identity theft protection for two years. We encourage our patients to take advantage of this offer. Change Healthcare has not provided us with a date the billing operations will commence. We will keep our website updated and will provide information as we receive it. We want to assure our patients that COPC took every measure to protect information within our systems and our internal system was not breached.
